Self knowledge of the hare – Aesop’s Fables

The hares gathered into a meeting. They discussed over their misfortune. Their lives were not safe. They had to face the fear of dangers. They had to fear all. Not only the animals, the human also trapped to catch them. All times they had to face the fear of death. It was an unbearable condition. It would be better to sacrifice lives.

It was decided that they would jump to the pond water. They came near the pond.

Some frogs were gossipping by the side of the pond. They jumped into water after seeing the hares.

There was an intelligent hare. He told his friends— “Stop, Stop, please look at the frogs. Think a while. There is an animal in the world, who is much frightned than ourselves. So my friends, let us go back. Why should we suicide?”
