Shri A. Parthasarthy is acclaimed as the greatest exponent of Vedanta, the ancient philosophy of India. His multi-disciplined academic base includes postgraduation from London University. He has, for over half a century, dedicated himself to the study, propagation of Vedanta and its practical application to life. Swamiji’s books have presented terse scriptural truth in contemporary thought and language for practical living. The Vedanta Treatise, an exhaustive literary composition on the highest tenets of Vedanta philosophy, and The Symbolism of Hindu Gods and Rituals have earned best-selling status; His other publications are Choice Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita (3 volumes), Atmabodha, Bhaja Govindam, Select English Poems and severed booklets.
Swamiji runs the Vedanta Academy in the picturesque Malavli hills, 108 kilometers from Mumbai. The Academy offers continuous three year residential courses for Indian and foreign students. Its alumni impart Vedanta knowledge all over India and abroad.
Swamiji’s profound knowledge, incisive logic and ready wit have inspired audiences around the world. And motivated them to recognize the Supreme Reality beyond their superficial living. The exposition of the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads have earned Swamiji international eminence.
