The fowler had rushed towards a deer. Being afraid the deer entered into a vine. He tried to hide himself under the creepers. He thought the fowler could not get him. He became greedy, to see the grape-vine. He chewed them.
After a while the fowlers came there. They heard the sound of chewing. They understood that the deer was there. They threw the arrow. That stuck to the deer. He became dead.
At the time of death the deer told to himself in consolation—“Alas, I am faithless. The grape-vine gave me shelter. But I tried to destroy them. So I am amply rewarded.”
