A cheat hawker – Aesop’s Fables

A person came to the market, carrying a wooden idol of God Hermis. He would sell that earn some money. But bad fortune, no buyer was there.

At last being agitated he cried out — “Here, hear, I am telling this to you, hear. This idol will bring happiness to your family.

A person came there and said, “If your words are correct, then why you are not keeping the idol at your residence? In that case you will have much wealth.” The hawker said, “You are correct, by I need cash money. This idol will give it for a long time.”
